i looked in your cematary on your web site his name was helgie lindquist died 1912 is there any thing about peter a lindquist he was there and in the coast guard axilery he was my great grandfather

I’ve been reading your posts recently and have come to identify with many of your concerns… I live in Seattle and too wish to one day settle into Willapa. Your posts shed some light on the current events.

I also must compliment you on capturing some beautiful scenery.. the color does really come through. For me, your work is so refreshing from so many of the darker oils I have seen in the past.

I don’t know about your “one warning” but I’d brought NOA printouts and called both the store and PO as early as the Wednesday -=before=- the storm alerting those who cared about the three cell storm series approaching for the weekend and early following week.

The winds then were predicted to be constant 70 with gusts to 100, but we know it exceeded that as the middle ‘cell’ passed through.

This storm had nothing to do with “global warming!” In fact NOAA and others have stated that Pacific Storms would move further north, along with the jet stream. Was it global warming in the Columbus Day storm???? Get a grip!

Thanks for the link to Skamokacentric! We chose the hamlet of Skamokawa, (or it chose us!) in Wahkiakum County, and are nearing the end of a several year rehab on a house in the Skamokawa Historic District. Love Bay Center too. Looking forward to more visits to your blog.

Looking at the oils that you painted I am impressed with your capture of the enviroment you live in. One can almost feel as though they are there.
